Today, 12 April 2023, our company founder Manfred J. Seitz turns 85. With aluplast GmbH, which he founded in 1982 with 27 employees and 2.5 million euros, he has written a remarkable success story over the past 40 years. "My great motivation was to become self-employed. I always believed in myself and I was also convinced that aluplast would be successful."
And successful he was. In 2022, aluplast celebrated its 40th anniversary, is today more successful than ever and has meanwhile taken a leading role among Europe's top 5 in the industry as a system provider for uPVC window and door profiles. This is also shown by the figures that aluplast can present in 2022 with more than 500 million euros in turnover and more than 1,850 employees worldwide.
Manfred J. Seitz always had a clear goal in mind: "It was important to me that my sons Dirk and Patrick join the company, continue and expand what I started. Our vision was to be one of the biggest and best system providers in Europe, and we have achieved that. And that was only possible because in these 40 years we have understood how to take our employees with us, we see ourselves as a big aluplast family. And that's how we are also seen on the market."
Christian Voicu, Managing Director of the subsidiary in Poland, has been with aluplast since his apprenticeship: "I spent a lot of time travelling and working in the company with Manfred J. Seitz and can still benefit from his knowledge today. It's a success story that continues to this day and hopefully will continue for a long time."
But it is not only the close relationship with the employees that is important: "We are very proud of the long-standing partnerships that we maintain with many of our customers. This close cooperation has already resulted in many innovations."
A major success factor in the establishment of aluplast GmbH was its early internationalisation. Manfred J. Seitz recognised this potential relatively quickly and was on the road at many trade fairs. In 2005, aluplast received the CEE Award from the Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations for its entrepreneurial commitment in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
Franz Nimmrichter, Managing Director of aluplast Austria GmbH sums it up: "We as aluplast have a lot to thank Manfred J. Seitz for. The vision to expand in Europe at an early stage was a courageous and far-sighted step. I thank him for his trust and the opportunity to be part of the team and the success story of aluplast!"
A success story that would not have existed without the family, Manfred J. Seitz knows: "I owe a lot to the family. First and foremost my wife Brigitte, who has always had my back. For that I thank her from the bottom of my heart."
For the future, he wishes one thing above all: "That we remain a family business and that the following grandchildren continue what my sons and I have successfully started, built up and carried on."
The entire aluplast staff wishes Manfred J. Seitz a wonderful 85th birthday and continued health, success and satisfaction: "Stay with us for as long as possible!"
